If everything goes according to the current weather reports that a massive storm is approaching our area that will cause subpump systems to work harder due to a heavy amount of rain that will drain into basements, we highly suggest that you test your subpump before and make sure it is running well before Monday as things tend to break down when you need them the most and in general if your subpump is over eight years old you might consider replacing it or consider having an emergency/extra subpump in case the main subpump will break down.

From our experience, a well  maintained subpump can save you a lot of damage to your house and money and some insurance companies will not even cover the cause of the damage from a subpump failure unless you get a specific endorsement to your policy.
